Duration
• Lesson times vary according to the flight package selected. The Northern Illinois Flight is a 1.5-hour lesson, the Downtown Adventure Flight is a 2-hour lesson.
Weather Dependent
• This experience is not weather dependent. In the event of inclement weather, the ground school portion of the lesson will still be conducted, and the flight portion of your lesson will be rescheduled to a nicer day.
What To Wear
• Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for weather conditions.

What about weather?
Your flight lesson contains an element of interesting and educational ground school at the start which is done rain or shine. If after reviewing the weather your instructor decides it will not be good enough to fly, you will still do the ground school portion and reschedule your flight portion. This experience is never canceled due to weather.

Can I bring passengers?
Yes, you may bring 1 passenger, but the combined weight of the participant and passenger cannot exceed 500 lbs.

What if I'm interested in continuing to learn to fly and gain certification?
Your instructor is FAA Certified and can certify your flight time at the end of your lesson and will discuss with you the easy process if you are interested in becoming a pilot.

Do I need experience?
No, our hands-on course is geared for beginners.

Is there an age requirement for the participant?
No. If the participant is a minor, he/she will need parental consent. The pilot is able to tailor the experience to participants of any age. Passengers must be old enough to ride without a child seat.

What is the difference between the chief pilot and a normal pilot?
While all of our partners pilots are qualified and certified to fly and instruct flights, their chief pilots do come with more experience and accolades that may provide more comfort during your flight.

Standard Purchaser Return and Refund Policy

If you wish to return a Gift Certificate or Experience Voucher you must do so within 14 days of your purchase. All refunds must be requested by the original purchaser and will be made only to the original purchaser in accordance with the original payment method. If the Gift Certificate or Experience Voucher has been delivered by Virgin Experience Gifts to someone other than the purchaser, the recipient must contact Simply Me Box Gifts to authorize a refund to the purchaser. Exchanges

Recipients may exchange unredeemed or redeemed but unbooked Experiences at any time free of charge.
Should the recipient choose to exchange for a more expensive Experience, he or she will simply need to pay the price difference. Should he or she exchange for a less expensive Experience, the remainder will constitute an unredeemed balance remaining on such Experience Voucher or Gift Certificate, which will be applied to the recipient's account. Such unredeemed balances may only be redeemed toward future bookings of Experiences at the Website and are not redeemable for cash.
